Here is my review :
👍 First, in terms of visuals, the game looks great—it works well. Adding more shaders or a day/night cycle could enhance it even more. Considering the assets were made in a week or less, it's impressive work.
👍 Secondly, about the mechanics and tasks, I love the variety. Poor fish—when they eat, they disappear ! Haha. But everything works well. Maybe the rhythm feels a bit too slow at times.
👍 Thirdly, the voice acting is really great—I love it ! The timing of the audio recordings is well done, not too much or too little. It fits perfectly with the different tasks. Also, the pause system, which pauses the timer, is a nice touch—simple and effective for the player. The settings menu where you can adjust the volume is great (I should implement this in my own game !).
Now, for a few minor drawbacks: it can feel a bit repetitive. Maybe making it slightly shorter or increasing the pace would help. In the password system, it would be great if you could enter the password without being forced to use uppercase letters. Also, a small reward for completing tasks could be nice—maybe a simple score system where finishing tasks faster earns more points. (I’m not sure if the final score is always 10/10 or if it varies.)
Overall, the game fits its concept well but maybe more action in that way can be good, because for me, like nothing really go wrong in my experience, the dask if you succed, it don't go wrong, maybe a system were more the day past, more task have to be done, phone call to respond... And at the end a score and you say for example die from burnout, it's a idea you do want you want but maybe a little more in this way could be good.
It's all for me, if you want check my game, way less good then your.
thanks for giving this so much time and thought!
the small things you've mentioned will be no problem at all. One of the team had the same gripe with the password system and I didn't pay that enough attention :)
I think speeding up the pace will be a great idea, need to work out the balance so it doesn't always just feel like you've never ending things to do
The game is scored based on how long things are broken for. That isn't explained in the game (because it honestly wasn't our first plan for the scoring ahahhaa)
I'll try your game out <3
